Services
Everything below is part of the standard monthly rate unless the page says otherwise.
A lightweight agent runs on each managed computer and reports on disk health, memory, storage capacity, failed services, and error conditions. Alerts come to Ben directly. Most of what gets caught this way, such as a failing drive or a disk filling up, is fixed before anyone in your office notices it.
Operating system security updates and patches for common applications are applied on a schedule rather than whenever someone remembers. Updates known to cause problems are held back until they are safe. Unpatched software is the most common way small organizations get compromised, and it is also the easiest thing to stay ahead of.
Each managed computer runs antivirus and anti-malware protection with ransomware-specific defenses and behavioral threat detection, meaning it watches for a program acting like ransomware rather than only matching known signatures. If something is detected, the machine can be isolated from the network while it is investigated.
This is included in the base rate. There is no separate security package.
Remote support is included and is how most issues get resolved. You call or email, and you reach someone who already knows your environment rather than a queue that needs the situation explained from scratch.
On-site visits are available throughout the core New River Valley when a problem genuinely needs hands on hardware. Whether a visit is included or billed depends on the situation, and it is discussed before anyone drives anywhere.
Four times a year you get a short written summary: what changed, what was patched, anything that was blocked or flagged, and which machines are getting old enough to plan around. It is useful when you have a board or a finance committee asking where the money went.
Hardware purchases, software licenses, structured cabling, server or network infrastructure projects, and full migrations are quoted separately and agreed before any work starts. Mobile phones and tablets are not managed devices under the standard rate.
Our process
Nothing here commits you to the next stage.
Twenty or thirty minutes to understand your organization, what you are running, and what keeps going wrong. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need managed IT, and we will say so.
A no-cost baseline of your devices, update status, security coverage, and backups. Remote, and free for up to fifteen computers. Larger environments get a quote first so the scope is clear on both sides.
A short written summary of what is solid, what is at risk, and what to do about it in priority order. Yours to keep whether or not you hire us.
Setup takes a few days. After that, monitoring, patching, and protection run continuously, and you have a direct line when you need one.
The free review
Free and remote for organizations with up to fifteen computers, with no obligation to hire anyone afterward.
